Treatment is performed in the office and generally requires little to no downtime. Results are visible right away but temporary, as the body gradually absorbs the filler.
What Can Liquid Rhinoplasty Do?
Because liquid rhinoplasty adds rather than removes volume, it can camouflage certain concerns but cannot make the same structural changes as surgery.
Liquid rhinoplasty may be appropriate if you want to:
- Smooth the appearance of a small dorsal hump
- Improve certain minor contour irregularities or asymmetries

However, filler cannot make the nose smaller, remove a prominent hump, substantially narrow or reshape the nose, or correct structural problems that interfere with breathing.

How Is Surgical Rhinoplasty Different?

Unlike the temporary changes achieved with filler, surgical rhinoplasty is intended to provide long-lasting results. The trade-off is that it requires anesthesia and a more significant recovery period. Most patients need up to about 2 weeks away from work, although swelling gradually resolves and the nose becomes increasingly refined over the months that follow.
